The loss of a young boy’s life is discouraging, and Sherlock blames himself. John is there to comfort and reassure his detective. Enjoy previous chapters: Two Gentlemen Sharing, A Game For Gentlemen, and A Gentleman’s Gratitude!
During our recent London trip, Ali Miller was kind enough to invite us over for tea and share her collection with us! I also asked a few questions…
One of the touristy places we visited during our week was the Coca-Cola London Eye.
It was a beautiful, sunny spring-like day in London when a few of us decided to go take a whirl. There were six of us in one of the cars with about six other people who thought we were some of those crazy Americans that they had always heard about but never properly seen. I noticed that, literally, when Rosemary, Meg and myself went to one side of the car, the other (non-Sherlockian) people kind of migrated away from us. As far away as they could get. (I feel accomplished.)
A little known fact of mine is that I am afraid of heights. The Eye moves so slowly that you really don’t realize how high up you are. The cars are large and heavy so they don’t rock. We were having a grand time taking snaps and videos. It was so amazing!
At the zenith, you can see almost all of London. From Mycroft’s MI6 building to Battersea Power Station to St. Paul’s Cathedral, the views are a sight to behold.
It was one of the best Valentine’s Days I have had in years:
Sherlock and John being chummy.
Mary giving a ring to Moriarty.
Sherlock blowing off a marriage proposal.
All I can say is, next time James will have a bigger bauble and maybe a locked-room mystery or two to entice Sherlock away from John. Or maybe kidnap Johnny boy to get Sherly’s attention. Hmm… decisions, decisions…
This is 30 minutes of my life I will never forget. Thanks to my partners in crime: Rosemary, Meg, Beverly, Beth, and Anne. You made this day more than I thought it could be. Thank you from the bottom of my little heart.
Next week: Lunch at the Sherlock Holmes Pub.

Hi everyone. My name is Rhonna Di and I am one of the members Rosemary mentioned yesterday going to contribute to this blog.
I suppose I should introduce myself properly.
I got involved in this fandom right before Series Three was aired. I think I had to wait four months. My daughter called me one night and asked if I had heard of this TV series called “Sherlock.” Me, being the uninformed, out-of-the-loop one, told her no I hadn’t. This was the first time I had heard anyone say Benedict’s name out loud. She then asked if I remembered the actor who played Bilbo. Well, I wasn’t that uninformed. “Of course I remember Bilbo,” was my response, although; I had no clue of his name either. “Well he and the guy who voices Smaug are in this series called Sherlock. It’s really good and I think you would love it.”
Little did we know she would create a monster.
I first met Rosemary at the Sherlocked convention in Los Angeles in 2017. I got a picture taken with her when she was cosplaying as Sherlock in his bearskin hat. We didn’t properly meet until the one in 2018. Her ‘”Mrs. Hudson’s Pool Party” was the best party of the weekend. Then, I was fortunate enough to be able to go to London a few weeks ago and spend time with Rose and many of the people I became friends with at Sherlocked. That week was one of the best of my life.
(I’m the one with Sherlock’s feet…)
On a personal note, I live in the mountains of Arizona and have four children. Three are grown and my baby is ten.
Back from London and ready to blog! So let’s start things off with The Mind Palace, a fun place to visit while in London. But to enjoy this fun BBC pub, you must first complete your mission in The Game Is Now! London needs you first, then have a drink to celebrate, after your mission has been completed! [The photo above is of two of our girls, Rhonna & Meg, about to enjoy a drink at The Mind Palace!]
If you miss Sherlock as we do, then The Game Is Now is a MUST! I can give you no details on your mission, but I can share what comes after your mission, and where to report, for your mission! An appointment IS required, for more details follow the link below: https://www.thegameisnow.com/
