I was Sherlocked in London, or so I was most of last week! I flew overseas for the first time last Tuesday, my reason and inspiration? To attended the Sherlocked convention, to see London (with what time I had to see London), and to attend Martin Freeman’s play (Labour of Love)! My three expectations? Number One: To enjoy an amazing convention! Number Two: To see as many screen used Sherlock locations as possible! Only got to see a few.. But I did visit Speedy’s twice, the Sherlock museum, loved The Tube and the black cabbies constantly reminded me of John and Sherlock racing on new adventure! I also got to see The Landmark on my last evening, so exciting! Number Three: To Enjoy Martin Freeman on stage and possibly meet him! I was not disappointed!
The few days I had before Sherlocked, were spent with my friends Teri and Bianca! My first time in London the two lead me around. I might spoil myself and use a Cabbie next time though 😉
Suffering from jet-lag..
The Sherlock museum! Loved the Victorian side of Sherlock Holmes!
The highlight of my first two days in London, aside from seeing the sites, was to attend Martin Freeman’s play and to possibly meet him! I did both!! The play was simply amazing! It was surreal to see one of my favorite actors in brilliant form, a few feet away from me. I not only give Martin praise though, but the entire cast! All were simply amazing! After the play, Teri and Bianca were kind enough to hold a spot for me near the stage door. Thanks to that, I got to meet both lead actors! Although they were mainly signing the programs, Martin was kind enough to sign my Bilbo Pop Figure! He seemed flattered that I flew from the States to see him on stage, and then he took a selfie with me. Although I admit was I very tired and I look horrible in this shot.. I’m so happy to have met Martin! I’m such a fan!
Martin stepping out to greet the fans!
Extremely tired yes.. But so happy, I got my Bilbo signed!
Running around as a Guardsmen Sherlock from The Sign of Three, I had a humorous time getting photos with all the cast! Of course it was all in fun, so for those that don’t ship Johnlock, it’s not to offend. At one point I had a James grab my Sherlock and hug him! He completely disagreed with the “I love John!” And wanted Sherlock for himself! It was such an amazing time!
And more pictures!
Sian Brooke and Sue Vertue both seemed impressed with my customs! Mind you their not an official product. But Sean loved them so much, she wants a set for her two boys, and possible two for Benedict’s boys! To me it’s flattering! I’m going to try to make that happen as soon as possible! Between the help of Sue Vertue and the Baker Street Babes, I plan to impress! I also had a wonderful, but short chat with Steven. He’s such a talented writer, what he and Mark gave us in Sherlock is simply amazing!
Props & Costumes!
On the set of 221B!
It honestly was an exciting weekend! I so loved meeting old friends and making new ones! Aside from hanging with my Sherlocked Sister’s in our own little hide-away! I met Coslocked an amazing cosplaying pair! I loved hanging with the Baker Street Babes again, if you haven’t followed this group, you need too! Then I spent lots of time with online friends! Made many new friends too! Let’s all remain in contact and I hope to see many of you in LA!
Love you London and hope to go back someday soon! -Blogger
